Manifesting Our New Home

After having a baby in 2014, I was starting to feel like we were outgrowing our cozy 2 bdrm apartment in LA. I was feeling like I wanted us to be in a house with more space and a backyard in a residential neighborhood

I was also thinking about wanting to be closer to my parents so that they could be an active part of my daughter’s life. They lived in Northern CA, which seemed like a costly move and the energy of moving felt overwhelming, especially with a new baby.

When we came to visit my parents for the holidays last year, I was checking out listings online even though we had no official plans to move and saw a cute place not far from them. I came to see it, just to get an idea of what we might be looking for and low and behold this sweet house had our name on it. Needless to say, I saved the number as Our New House in my phone.

There was someone else who was the first candidate and they ended up saying no. We went back and forth about whether we should accept the place and if now was the right time to move. We applied for this place December 31, 2014 and moved the family to the Bay Area on January 28, 2015.

It’s amazing how your mind can have you convinced that something you want is going to take a long time to have. Or that you have to have all your ducks in a row before you can take action. This is something that felt like it would be challenging to create. Yet, life keeps me proving that when I move in the direction of what I want and what is meant for me, things can happen in Godspeed.

What’s something you are telling yourself that you cannot have now and how can you take action towards its manifestation anyway?
